Brad ,Remember everything is fixable ? ( A structural Engineer told me this ! ) Forget the expoy ! NEED a photo of the damage ? You cannot just stick it back together ! So forget the epoxy solution .

I'm not overly familiar with Pittwater but if there is a good public wharf you can tie up on for a few hours I would suggest doing the work from it

G'day,
If its just a scrap and took gel coat off and the glass is exposed my advice would be, fire up the grinder and buzz the inside of the hull and lay up glass from that side and just fill the scrap with bog ( Plastybond is the best! grab it from bunnings ). If its not that bad just fill it with bog. By the sound of things it did no structual damage and remembering the hull is about 5-7mm thick aswell id just fill it. Plastybond goes off in 10 minutes.

Hi Brainless ,

I have been considering just as you suggest mate , though with all the Environmental Legislation that exist today , the financial penalties that exist for such breaches , should have an owner more then weary !!!

I was onboard our Mk1 today , after a hectic week at work . Its funny how a persons recollection of damaged sustained in an incident can be worse , than the physical damage sustained .

I have learned that the money spent getting a professional to do this type of work is money very well spent.
