Picked up a $6 cutting board from Coles the other day, its a perfect snug fit on the draining board of a MkIII

Finished a couple of projects today.
One, re-wiring and new switch panels, with a simple volt meter for each battery. I tucked the master switches inside a locker (yes i know one of the switches is massive over kill, but it was what i had on hand) . Put appropriate fuses on each circuit.
The re-wiring took a lot longer than i thought it would. The new wires started being quite neat, but gota little messy towards the end, but much better than it was.

I'm hoping the second one will solve one of the problems of an outboard on the transom. ...lifting the outboard froma dinghy or onboard to the bracket, so fabricated this hoist .

Beaut day so I dragged for my mooring........ Again. Pick hit in after 20 min. search.
Lowered my mooring chain down the drag line. Lowered my tools down the same line.
Dived down to discover I'd snagged a water supply line!
1/2 hour search on scuba in 10 meters & I stirred up the bottom nicely.
Found my mooring Block + another.
1/2 hour untangling lines & tools in the murk & in nil vis.
I think I attached part A to part B to part C in the correct order!
Next high tide I can finally move the yacht off the sand & back on the mooring.

I like your outboard raiser Shaun!
And your cutting edge technology!

Shaun: Your wiring looks great! Having the two volt meters would be useful. I am interested to find out how your crane goes in practice. I'm thinking it will make it much easier handling an outboard over the back.

Woodsy: Sounds like you are having a win with recovering your mooring. Dunno if I would like working in nil visibility ten metres below.

That is a beautiful big bream! I see a lure, is that what you caught it on? Trolling behind your tender or were you casting around?

Ancient solar panel on deck that I want to upgrade.

The wires were glassed on the inside of the roof.. I have no idea how old it is but it looks ooold.. also my house battery was flat the other day so i'm planning on upgrading the panel

Any thoughts on the best place to mount the new panel? above the aft end of the cockpit looks best but how would i go about getting a stainless frame?

Cheers
