Hi there

I'll try my best to pop in for a spell at the Basin but may be heading up to Brisbane waters that day for a round trip. I've managed to promote the event to one of the 'older' Top Hatters in our community who will make every effort to bring Blue Peter 2 along to meet you all on the 17th.

Cheers

It would be good to see you again Curl Tops. Storm Petrel is moored at Pretty Beach and I often take a run up to Gosford. Do you intend to go right up to Gosford or just run to Hardy's Bay or Booker Bay

The tides are big on the 17th with a high tide at about 7.30am so if you do not have a powerful engine you will have to try to get around half tide rocks and through Rip Bridge by about 10-11am (2.5hr over run) or it will be a pretty slow trip.

If anyone wants to join me, I will be departing Church Point around 9.30 am Sunday. Drop a line here to make arrangements. (Limited nos. of course.)
I will be using my daggy mainsail while a new one is prepared by Sea N Sails. ($1,600 was the quote).
Feel free to be incognito if you are easily embarrassed.
Cheers.

Storm Petrel will leave about 9.30am from Brisbane Waters so we should be at the Basin around mid day, wind permitting. We hope to have lunch at the Basin and then have an afternoon sail around Lion Island and back to The Basin before sailing for home. Hope some other Top Hats will join us for an afternoon sail so we can get some new sailing pics on the site.

See you Sunday,

Mark

I have moved from Sydney to Avoca Beach but despite now living close to the ocean sailing is further away because Swift is still mored in Sydney. I originally intended to sail up on Saturday for the sail-away but for various reasons this is now not going to happen. However I still want to come and if anyone from the Central Coast needs crew please advise, or alternatively I would be happy to drive the extra distance to Church Point if Woodsy's offer is still open. It would be great to catch up with you all.

Cheers
