Best ask the Boating Services officer for his recommendation. He may even know of someone with a spare apparatus going cheap. I think you will find your BSO at the Hornsby office of the Roads and maritime.

Good idea to speak to boating officer. The person who does most of the moorings around here is Vic Heffernon, Hawkesbury Maritime Service 0414 961 203 or 9388 8957. He does my mooring and 2 weeks ago did the annual service. No connection, just found him to be reasonable on cost and easy to deal with.

I would suggest you try to get a mooring at Parsley Bay. We started out at Mooney Mooney while we waited for a spot at Parsley. Parsley suits us much better than Mooney Mooney (Lots of steps to go down to the water at Mooney, dinghy storage difficult, long way to motor before putting sails up). I don't know if there is still a waiting list for Parsley Bay. When we got to the top of the list after about 8 months, we had 3 spots to choose from and David Lyons (Boating Officer) took me out in his boat and showed me the options.
Best of luck, look forward to seeing you around.
Cheers, John

Hi Killick ,

Thanks for contact details of the BSO at Hornsby , I will be contacting Vic Heffernan once I receive paperwork back from the RMS . As for location preferred , I think its easier to get to coming off the Pacific Highway .

EDIT :

Having just got off the phone with Vic Heffernan , I have been made aware of the advantages of Parsley Bay , over Mooney Mooney Creek . So therefore im going to request a change on the waiting list . So fellow Toppys in the PB , i look forward to enjoying past times with great folk such as yourselves .

We should also consider starting Hawkesbury River Sub Group , similar to The Lake Mac Group .

All the best ,

Hi Guys / Gals ,

Vic Heffernan will install our private mooring tomorrow , which will be moved to Parsley Bay , once a spot becomes available . So I publicly Thank Vic , for being a pleasure to deal with , and installation cost was reasonable .
