I think you have graduated from the 'Albatros Award' to having the title of 'Birdman of the Tasman!' You must be happy to be home.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi All,

I have just visited the Skipr site and can report that Mick in PELE has made it safely to Hobart.

I have lifted his posts, thanks Mick, and dropped them here for the members enjoyment. I am sure that Mick will want to expand the story.

Pele’s Journey from Eden to Hobart in 2013.

2013 01 03 - 1952 hrs
37° 4' S 149° 54' E
Presently anchored in Snug Cove, Eden. Left Bermagui this morning at 0600, arrived Eden 1600. Lovely day had to motor for a while first thing until the wind came up but then a beautiful sail down the coast past such delightful places as, Tathra, Merimbula and Pambula. Here for a while....[end of message is lost]

2013 01 16 - 1320 hrs
36° 6' S 149° 53' E
Alternating between Snug Cove, East Boyd and Nullica Bay, depending on the wind. Certainly enjoying things here. Plenty of work done on the boat, hoping to leave during the next week.

Nineteen days after arriving in Eden.

2013 02 03 - 0627 hrs
37° 6.5' S 149° 56' E
A weather window has arrived at last. Hope to depart for Tasmania early Monday 4th. All good. Jack O’Halloran arrives on board this arvo for the trip.

2013 02 08 - 2040 hrs
42° 31' S 147° 55' E
Made it across the Strait, to Eddystone Point in about 55 hrs. A few hours sleep there and on to Wineglass Bay and tonight, Friday night, we are at Triabunna, tomorrow we will get through the Dennison canal.

2013 02 12 - 1529 hrs
43° 12' S 147° 6' E
We have arrived at Deep Bay, Port Cygnet. Pele has performed admirably and is now resting at her mooring. Jack is on his way home and the Adventure is over, for now.
