Well by now everybody will know that we are still in Port Stephens and will NOT be getting out of here before MONDAY!

Winds of 30 [maybe even 40] plus knots last night. I slept well but Shaun did not sleep well after 3.00am.

Have just spoken to Shaun and we will now overnight at Crowdy Head on Monday so we can make a daylight entry with the afternoon flood tide on Tuesday.

So here's hoping!

The WSW wind was curling around the Sth'n point to Fame Cove & making it a bit rolly, So during the day I moved to tuck in against the sth'n side of FC, only 150m but its like a different world.
The LED anchor light I have been raving about to all who will listen packed it in tonight, so its back to the trusty kero lamp.

Shaun,

I wondered what was going on when your leds didn't come on, thought you had run out of batteries.

Weather still looks shitty. Plan had changed to a 3am start Monday going for Crowdy Head Harbour.
Well thats gone as the winds and swell early Monday are 30 knots on a 3-2m sea with up to a 3m swell.

Could someone tell us what God we have offended!!!!

We may get away Monday pm. Here's hoping as we are starting to run out of real food now.

Don't panic and just relax. When the weather is right then go. It wont happen overnight but it will happen. You're safe where you are.
Latest weather from Lake Mac (Pulbah Is) nth side, Winds 22 kts SW seas 0m on a 0m swell.
Wangi Workers reports the beer is 4 degrees C. and clear.

All Sailing was cancelled at Belmont 16s yesterday, the last race last week was canceled due to strong winds and thunderstorms. But we've got it easy compared to Bundy and Rocky.

Hows the back Phillip?

Quite funny when I rowed over to Seaka, Phil opened a drawer under the sink & it was a mother-load of food in cans, my eyes nearly popped out of my head looking at this bounty of canned meat etc.

On the same day a 60ft yawl(?) called Commitment came into Fame Cove, it was Tony Mowbrays yacht, at first Phil & I mistook him for Tony Bullimore  (we had been waiting in FC for favourable weather for nine days by that time) who was rescued in the Sth'rn Ocean, that rescue had the public whinging about the cost if it, Tony came over for a chat, he used to race Top Hats on Lake Macquarie, he had a few funny stories about his sailing, it was good chatting with him.

Seaka & Blue Moon are now back in their home port of Camden Haven.

Gday John,
It was great to see you & your wife on Nightcap at America's Bay, your hard work on Nightcap is paying off, she is looking fantastic.

It happened again....
on the night sail, this time from Port Stephans to Camden Haven, a seabird landed in the cockpit of Blue Moon!
The seabird (a Shearwater?, someone will know??) sat on the seat for about 10mins then hopped onto the side deck, then flew off.
