Thanks for the update Michael. I am hoping to sail North in Storm Petrel with Jacko on Wednesday( to Lake Macquarie or Newcastle) if the predicted Southerly arrives, but still might be able to get over to see Philip and Shaun if they arrive tomorrow. Please keep the updates coming.

Cheers,
Mark

:) :) Going to New Castle tomorrow for urgent shopping then on to Pittwater Tuesday.

Both Shaun and I are buggered after yesterdays 6 to 8 knot run!

Alls well.

Philip and Shaun,

Sounds like an exciting sail on your first day out. The weather window looks good for us to go North on Wednesday. We are planning to spend Tueday night at the Basin in Pittwater because the wind and tide would make it difficult to get out of Brisbane Waters at dawn on Wednesday. If you make it to Pittwater on Tuesday and stay at the Basin we might be able to catch up. We will probably sail over after dinner and get there about 9-10pm. Could you send me a PM with your phone number.

Phill and Shaun,

We still plan to head North tomorrow. I will have three aboard and will ring when/if we reach the lake in the afternoon. The plan is to stay overnight at the Wangi Wangi Club (as a SE wind is predicted) and head back to Broken Bay on Thursday with the 10-15 knot ESE. Hopefully having a small(in number not in stature) crew to share the work load will mean that we will not be too exhausted to sail back on Thursday?

Cheers,
Mark

Well, the days are cleared and the weather is set to give us a good trip up tomorrow, and back either Thursday or Friday. Last check of th Seabreeze charts says so anyway. So I'm packing to go out to Dulcamara now and will be in Careel Bay before the Southerly hits at midnight.

Leaving Careel Bay by first light with any luck, and will be hoping to make the evening high at the Swansea bar.

Will call those already there when I have some idea on where I'll be and when.

Philip due to the high fire danger and local bush fires I will be unable to meet you in Jervis Bay. However I can send the chart and I also can send the Tasmanian Anchorage Guide to you c/o the Eden Post Office, if that will suit? and I will try and catch you on your return leg.
All the best for your trip. Andy
