Whale Watch

Saw my first whale of the season today.
3 miles off Red Head, 6 miles south of Newcastle. Northbound of course. It's started again.

Yes Louis, we see them from now until about Nov - Dec.
Its not unusual to see 4 or 5 a day in the winter.
Shaun, is that the first one you have seen this season?

Yes that was my first & only sighting this season so far.
They seem to come in quite close, just Sth of Tacking Pt, Port Macquarie when they start coming up on mass.
