Russell, I'm trying my best to get bear there but he is resisting.
I think its because he doesn't want any one to know how he got his nickname of "Bear". He needs his teddy to get to sleep. Keep it quiet, he doesn't want everyone to know!
I've offered to pick him up from Brooklyn and even transport him to the Basin with an all expenses paid night aboard. However expensive that might be.
But be warned with success at the Diesel he will probably want to service everyone's engine.

He will be there!

If I were to drive down for the day, how would I locate the gather and where would I be going?

Russell, I did that on the first get together. I drove to Palm beach where you can get a ferry to The Basin. It is a very popular camping spot. "Fantasea ferries" run a regular 1 hour service, I think it is. Check their web site.
When you get to the other side you can run and shout at them from the beach but they won't hear and you might (as in my case) get a lift from a friendly power boater nearby. I will give you a lift back to Palm Beach if need be or I'm sure someone else on the outside of the raft up will. There is plenty of parking in the side streets so don't go to the council carpark.

It would be great to see you there.

As it gets closer to the time PM me and I will send you my phone number. I will be picking bear up from Brooklyn earlier in the day. WONT I BEAR !

Will do my best to get there, Paid for my TH this afternoon and she goes on the slip on Thursday/Friday. Have been invited down to inspect Hull and Rest on Saturday.

Russell, if you want a ride to the basin, I can meet you in Careel Bay, just south of Palm Beach and you can sail over with us. It's not a very long sail. I think we get the prize for the shortest trip.

Where is the best place to pick someone up from Brookly?

I was going to pick Bear up from the complex near the Hawkesbury River Station but there seems to be pontoons at Parsley Bay. Are they deep enough for a Top Hat to get in there?
