Insurance Survey

Insurance Survey

Postby SeaLady » Tue Apr 17, 2012 11:23 am

My insurance broker has told me that to get insurance I need to have a survey on Sea Lady.

I am sure that this question has been asked before. But I am too lazy to go through everything.
Besides I like things simple and I am certain that Mark 1 owners at least have had to go through this.

Is this the same as a pre purchase survey?

Does the boat have to be slipped?

Any information gratefully accepted.
I have about a month to get it all done.

Hi Diana,
Speak to Greg Fullerton at Anchorage Marine Underwriting, 199 Pacific Hwy, North Sydney 02 9959 4422.
He knows Top Hats well and is your best bet if you want to reinsure a Top Hat without needing a survey. You might also be surprised at the low premium.

Best of luck.

Sean is spot on.You can also try Trident. Did not require survey/inspection and a good premium too.

Diana,

I used MRMA, only required an inwater inspection from a shipwright. Cost me $100.

Greg Fullerton is insuring it without a survery.

Trident require an out of water survey.

Thanks guys.

Cheaper and all good.

Now I need a redent colour picture of the boat.

Can someone arrange for good weather on a weekend for me please?
