How many years ago was this taken? Perhaps you need to hold up a recent newspaper in the next photograph Bear to convince us skeptics (Although then we could always say it was Photo-shopped)........

:D
Last weekend....but what i think happened was Felicite towed the old MkI, up to a decent speed then dropped the tow line while Bear raised the sails for the photo!

Are you out on the water this arvo or tomorrow Bear(i'll call you later)?, im on the anchor in Eraring Bay, the wind is up there, a few kts too strong(to be pleasant ) even for a junk rig. Would be nice to catch up again, before i leave to head Nth, thinking maybe on Mon to head to Port Stephans....
cheers

Not sure about your theory. Looks like Egret has wind in her sails but is making no headway. Was she on a sandbar or photo-shopped onto the water? The Southerly should give you a great run back Shaun. Sorry we couldn't make it up last weekend it sounded like fun. Hopefully, Denis will organise another get together at the HRYC later in the year and we will catch up then.

Cheers,
Mark

Oh Mark, even a soldier can make a boat sail in a decent wind. YOu can see how little wind there is. I bet you don't even believe that NASA sent a man to the moon, re "Capricorn 1".

Mk1s may be the prettiest, (argueably) but MK3's are the fastest. QED.

Good Photos Bear,

Wished I had a recent photo of my Mark 1 sailing :D [last one is from the 1990's] but then we both know that Mark 1's have sailed around the world a couple of times and I happen to know of a couple of Mark 1's that have sailed up to the Whitsundays and back in the last year or so.

Now what were those mark 2 and 3's saying about sailing?
