Some of the links on the site need updating. I tried them today and found many led to dead ends. I am not sure who is looking after the site now so I have posted a general message. This is a very valuable site for regulars and visitors so it would be good to sort this out.

Hi Dan,

You still holding the site together. For what it is worth, you do a bloody great job, the site seems to be always up and functioning.

How about we request all members to have a think about links that would be worth putting on the site and have them put suggestions on this thread. The link to the 'Orque' carvel planked Top Hat restoration would be my first suggestion.

Hey Dan,

The links to Caprice' circumnaviagation have been down for a bit. Cyril must have closed that blog site some time ago.

To make it easier to read, I saved all the articles by Jan Mitchell and now have them on my Photobucket. http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h318/ ... avigation/

Hi All,

The Caprice articles need to be turn into PDF files as the photo copies take too long to down load and in some cases are not of good quality.

Any takers with the know-how?

That's true Phil, I don't have the software to do it, but will be happy to re-post if someone has the ability to change them to either PDF or JPEG.

I nicked them off Cyril's page about three years ago, and saved them on my drive, intending to convert them one day. Just never got to it.

Even better if someone had the collection of magazines to re-scan?

Hi guys,
I have a ready solution for you, I use the cutepdf program which you can download free from http://www.cutepdf.com/

It is simple and very effective. I have used it many times without a hiccup and it can be opened readily by recipients of files that you forward. It works through your printer program. When you have the document on the screen you select print and when the printer box comes up identifying your Canon or other printer, you tap on the drop down box on the side and select "Cutepdf". Hit print and instead of putting it through your printer, it will create a pdf and put it into your Documents file. You will find it in there labeled as the original subject"pdf".
