Orque, carvel planked TopHat.

Dear all,

A while ago I had written about a carvel planked TopHat taken from the first design to come from Primrose's drawing board. Well, I have been off earning to pay for the one year course in wooden boat building which I start in September. I will be using Orque as a project whilst at the college and will be running a sort of blog throughout the whole process.

There is a lot to be done, new decks, new transom, a few new planks, new aft bulkhead, the list goes on. This can all be followed from my site at www.foreshoreboats.com

I have spent a lot of time researching the various details of Angus Primrose, John Illingworth and how the TopHat came to be, which some readers may find interesting. I hope you enjoy.

Bill.

Hi Bill, thanks for the update, I too have a carvel planked Tophat over here in Australia- not many about it seems. That is a great website you have constructed- and a link to here too! Good luck with the boat building course and bringing your Tophat back to life!!!
