water in bilge

water in bilge

Postby olly » Mon Jul 18, 2011 2:20 pm

Has anyone got plans of the bilge sections of mark III. I have a sudden increase in the amount of (salty)water being pumped out when I turn on the bilge pump. Would like to have some idea of what sections the bilge is divided into.

Do others have access to the bilge thro the cabin sole?

Anybody like to share their difficult leaky experiences?

Thanks, bye, Olly

Hi Olly,

Do you have an inboard or outboard?

Mk III should be similar to Mk II drg attached.

Cheers,

Tom

G'day Olly,
I also recently suddenly had a bilge full of salty water, in my case it was getting in thru the stern gland, that was dripping about 15 times every 10 seconds, the stern gland packing bolts were less than finger tight!, so once nipped up a tiny little bit, all good.
Just the one bilge on my MKIII same as shown in the above drawing.
cheers
