Hi... received this email today from waterways officer. I know. The Tophat has been abandoned and is up for auction NOW
Advert is "Mk1...(NOT MK1..it's .MK2 or 3) see extract from Lloyds Auction below. Boat was anchored long time at Broadwater Qld
then moved recently under waterways requirement ... needs cleaning. Plenty of pictures on Lloyds site.

Hi Jack

It’s been a long time since we last spoke.

I thought I’d let you know that the Top Hat from Biggera Waters is currently up for sale with Lloyds Auctions after GCWA removed it from the shore.
The link to the auction is below. Please let anyone know who is interested in purchasing. It would be a shame to see it go to the scrap yard.

OK here is the back story!

Back 2022 this vessel was offered for sale and a young girl started the buying process.
With a deposit paid and an inflatable brought the seller scammed the lot off her and disappeared with the Mark 3 Top Hat.
Some of you may remember me posting about the vessel, which we did locate at one time and then it vanished.

She is contacting Lloyds to make a bid. I wish her good luck in finally getting her Top Hat back.
Phillip.
