Securing front hatch

Securing front hatch

Postby Curryhouse » Wed Apr 13, 2022 7:37 pm

The front hatch (original style) of my Mk3 TH has a method of securing it from the inside that whilst it works, is not acceptable from a safety perspective to allow a quick exit. There are screw holes on the hatch where I believe some type of catch was originally fitted and a corresponding notch on the internal edge. If anyone has a pic of the type of catch on their forward hatch or can describe it, I would be most appreciative.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the pics. I had a feeling that may have been the style of catch used.

Cheers, Neil
