Cheers Shaun, I've always conservatively thought 4 knots was a good number to work on..you've shown it can be better. That first day which of course is very distant in the memory ,at grants head had you on the horizon heading for Tahiti and Rob right inshore. Anyway a wonderful tophat story.
I'll have to cut the mooring sometime!

Pearl Bay: Shaun, I'm guessing your video clip was taken on your approach between the peninsular on the southern end of Pearl Bay (Shoalwater Bay area) and the little island, probably SW direction? Looks like a half dozen sailing boats in there, popular spot. And the sea seems lumpy or is that my imagination? Was it calm further in?

Percy Island A-frame: The beach looks absolutely amazing! And the A-frame, has anybody ever counted how many boats are represented by all the knick-knacks?

I believe the A Frame was recorded before Cyclone Debbie but a lot of stuff was then lost on the ground floor.
Certainly less stuff there on my second visit in 2014 compared to 2011.

Amazing anything is still there.

And yachties looking for bits 'n pieces to repair their boats. :)

Random Video clips I have, of my 2011 & 2013 & 2014 voyages.
Struggling to get first leg of Shaun's trip together at this time as I'm new to video editing.

Maybe after then. :)

No, that doesn't happen, if help is needed you have to approach John [owner] up at the house.

But you can buy Percy Island Honey at the A Frame [PS It's very strong honey and dark as hell :D ]

Good on ya!

My experience of learning a little about video editing is that there is a LOT to learn. And editing can take so much time. But worth it in the end. I'm keen to see your finished clips.
