I have this one.

To make it work correctly, I got some stainless tube with an outside diameter the same size as the inside diameter of the supplied legs. Plus another small length the same size of the legs. That is, the legs that hold the ladder off the boat. I then took the rubber feet off the legs, pushed the smaller diameter tube into the legs, then cut them at the right length. Noting that the side of the boat isn't straight, so you'll have one longer than the other. Once you've got the stand off legs the right length, just push the rubber feet back on. To stop the tubes coming apart, you can bolt them, but I didn't have to, they were such a neat fit.

They have a small key plate that each arm fits into, that you must screw into the deck where you want to use the ladder. Mine is just forward of the pushpit, between the cockpit combing and the toe rail on the port side.

Sorry I don't have a photo, but it does work well enough.

I have the same ladder as Mike. Fitted it over the side. Didn't work so just hung it off the stern rail with a safety rope to save it from the deep. I also added a pull down rope to ensure I could lower it if I was already in the water.

Yep, that's why I added the extensions to the legs that hold the ladder off the hull sides. With a bit of fettling, it works well now. Perfectly vertical and the lower section is two rungs deep in the water.
