Storm Petrel for sale again

Postby storm petrel » Thu Jun 22, 2017 8:42 pm

Hi Hatters,

Hope everyone is keeping well and casting the lines off regularly.

I only sold storm petrel 3 years ago and I note she is again on Yacht Hub. She is a very well set up little cruiser. I hope she finds a good home.

Stormy is certainly a long way from the project boats & mooring minders Johnathon often sells.

Top Hat Regatta Mar 2010, where's your medal for that one Mark?, I remember Stormy & Night Cap having a good tussle on the last leg towards the finish line, I know Dennis won, then it was either Stormy or Night Cap in 2nd & 3rd.

Have some great memories of days on the water rafted up Mark.

Hope she does get some one to look after her as well as you did.

Thanks for the pics Shaun we had a lot of fun at the Hawkesbury River yacht club races. We also enjoyed that windy sail up to Lake Macquarie in company with Michael and sailing back under spinnaker with Shaun.

The Phantom I have now is a very different kettle of fish. In three years of sailing offshore I don't think I have had a wave wet me in the cockpit or had the gunnels underwater. Probably a lot more comfortable but not as much fun as the little Tophat used to be. Tophats are tough little boats that sail brilliantly and just seem to take everything in their stride. I also miss a tiller - a wheel just does not have the same feel.

Cheers,
Mark

Well well, Storm Petrel has turned up on a mooring near Iquana Joes / Gosford Stadium. I spotted her on my way to work this morning. I wonder if she has a new owner? She looked good.

That's interesting, because Magz said Stormy wasn't capable of a voyage.... I wonder if Jonathan got her sorted and sold? One would hope that not too much could have deteriorated in such a short time.
