Main sail Logo

Main sail Logo

Postby Phillip » Mon Mar 28, 2016 4:40 pm

Afternoon All,

Has anybody got a main sail handy with the Top Hat Logo on that they could trace for me?

Thought I might put it up on my new Main sail which is due to be made up over the next couple of weeks.

If someone can do it, I will PM an address to them.
Phillip.

My new Main Sail was put together today, we should put all the bits and pieces on tomorrow. :D :D :D

Did a bit of research and found that Mk 1's didn't have a Top Hat logo,
it only appeared on the Formit Top Hats after 1972 or mainsails produced after 1972.

Sounds great Phillip. New sail!

A few more knots of speed in lighter airs perhaps?

Interesting your research finding. Is your boat pre 1972?

Built in 1969 by Baker Louis.

Was too windy today to fit the sail but it is onboard, took two days to make.

I think that is because the new sail is so slick and fast he would have overpowered Seaka if it was as big as the old sail. Bit like when you get a turbo motor you can down size the cubic inches and still have more power. : )

Oh, and Phillip will be getting stronger sunglasses because of the extra glare off the super white surface.
