Keel bolts

Keel bolts

A rather basic question which I should know answer to?
Do Mark 1 Top Hats have keel bolts, or is keel encapsulated by construction and sheathing?

Hi Jack,

This is one subject you do not have to worry about with fiberglass Top Hats.

Yes the lead/steel keel is encapsulated during building.
Have a look in the photos section for a section through the Mk 2 & 3 [MK 1's are the same].

BUT, if you are talking about a timber Mark 0, they do have keel bolts!
