Sydney Get Together?

Still happening. :D

I cannot sail, SeaLady will not be repaired in time.

So my suggestion is to meet up at Refuge Bay.

Can we have a confirmation of attendees?

Swift needs a bit of (mostly cosmetic) work but what the hell looks arn't everything so I will be there. At this stage intend to arrive Saturday & leave Sunday afternoon.

Mark, are you still intending to come and represent ex top hatters? I would be interested to see your new boat.

Cheers

Hi All,

At this stage I still hope to vist with 'Aruba' my Phantom 32. Had the local marine sparky insatll a new LED tri-anchor on the masthead today. Lovely day for a sail to the Gosford Sailing Club and back.

I presume we are meeting in Refuge Bay. What day would be best for day trippers?

Cheers,

Mark

Unfortunately I cannot be there.
Unless we change the destination to my mooring and anyone that comes can work on my boat for the weekend.
Still hope to see you all soon.

Weather forecast is looking good for the weekend.

Sea Lady is looking beautiful on the starbord side but a bit worse for wear on her port side.
So I will be motoring.

Dave / Ex Peppercorn you are welcome to stow away on Sea Lady if you wish.

My aim is to motor to Refuge Bay or America Bay - Depending on wind
Actually America Bay during winter is preferable as you have sunshine till sunset and they can be beautiful.
Same area just a bit further away from the waterfall.

So at this stage we have 3?

Just realised that this weekend is also the Sydney Boat Show.

Perhaps we should postpone?

I will still be out on Sea Lady on Saturday - weather permitting.

Yeah, the boat show, Whitworths 15% off sale etc, but most of all it's still chilly weather. The more successful get togethers ( in terms of the number of boats) have always been in summer. So I suggest that we postpone to at least spring and regardless of if this goes OK or not, then there's no reason why a bigger event can't be planned for summer.

As a matter of interest, the first Top Hat sail away was way back in November 2009, (that's if the date on the camera was set correctly!), This was followed relatively quickly by another one in March 2010, both of these events were very well attended. So that says something about aiming for warmer weather.

OK Keith.

Your point is well made.

Get together postponed to a warmer time.

Sept / October?

I intro'd myself to Les & Gail , the new owners of Sgian Dubh from McCarrs Creek.
They are from Perth & now living in Pittwater.
They had asked me to sail with them to Refuge but as its now a non event, keep an eye out for them around Scotland Island in the future & say G'day.
Cheers.
