Wow, he has certainly done some travelling.

Gee, only a short hop of about 1,000 nm or so and he'll be in Adelaide. [Gulp, that is gunna be an amazing trip.]

330 nm? Ah, Esperance! Well, that's not so bad then.

According to the synoptic chart weather forecasts I keep an eye on, it seems like Rob might be feeling the effects of a cyclone by Sunday. Too close for comfort. Hopefully the forecast is wrong.

That forecast does not look good.

Ah, that's a bit better. Today the forecast is not for a cyclone, just a low. Still, it will be unsettled weather, probably thundery showers and the usual windy gusts.

Man it blew here last night with that low going through after the cyclone. there's not much protection from SE at the yacht club here. but it's been a good stay in Albany, I saw the new Anzac park and caught up with an old friend. Anyway predicted W and SW winds for a couple of days so that's going to be a pleasant change. I hope I remember how to run and reach. Got the seabrake hooked on and the sea anchor rigged to deploy from the cockpit, also fitted a couple of eye bolts to the forward hatch so I can dog it down properly. I should give it a test on the way to Esperance and hopefully I'll be all set for the crossing.
cheers

Rob, good to hear you are doing well. All the best for the trip to Esperance. Sounds like you are continuing to make little adjustments, tuning the boat to the conditions.

cheers
