Well Rob must have reasonable conditions, but with a cyclone threatening in the north he seems to be running for Perth.

This report at 2000 hours less than 100 nm from Perth ETA late Tuesday?

I had been wondering what Rob might have been thinking of that possible cyclone. Especially since its predicted track was down the coast, toward him. He's certainly clicking over the miles.

well that was a long haul, some big (30nm) tacks. 3 1/2 days to Two rocks first marina since Cairns and it's a dive, the place hasn't been looked at since bondy lost the cup, and they wasn't $50 pd only one toile and 4 showers in the open. Well a couple of days rest is needed and a strong wind warning for tomorrow so this'll do, but if you're down this way better of giving it a miss until someone buys it and does some work.

Congratulations Rob!

Reaching Perth I reckon is a seriously big achievement. Been a lot of miles beating against the wind to get there.

Hi Hatters,
well Greg milestone for me here, although I still have some west coast to go I've got the worst of it out of the way, I've heard more than once of people sailing around the world and having reached north west cape have had their boats trucked down to Perth.

Fremantle Sailing Club is very nice and super friendly Sundowner is tied on the visitors jetty and will stay here for a couple of weeks R&R I have friends and family here in the west to visit and a little maintenance to do aboard. I still have water coming in from somewhere and it's driving me nuts trying to find it. I reckon by the time I get back I'll be sailing a sikaflex sailboat.

The south west coast looks like fun and I'm looking forward to some reaching and running.

Could be same leak as I had. In the v-berth, right? Bedding getting wet? I had exactly the same trouble and I looked everywhere for the cause of the problem. Drove me nuts!

The problem stopped when I closed the hatch.

Hope you enjoy some relaxing time in Freemantle.

C'mon Rob,

Bite the bullet, lift and reset and seal those sail tracks!
