Running water!

Running water!

I know it's a bit of overkill, but I've had it with hand pumps....

Whitworths had a "galley pump" advertised for $34, so I went and bought it, then fitted it to find it was a 'non self priming pump" meaning it had to be fitted below the water supply and had a delivery head of just 2 meters. The only place to put it was at the back of the cabin sole tank in the bilge, and run lots of hose. So, to plan B.

They also had a Jabsco pressure pump, complete with a pressure switch for $99, and a nice chrome tap for $44, it will service up to three outlets and can pull through a filter, so I can actually have a hose to a shower on the deck or a fresh deck wash if necessary. It can also run via a hot water heater if you wanted to go that far.

When Gabi tried it for the first time yesterday, she said "That made it easier!"

I know there are perhaps more important things to buy, but this is a luxury I think was worth it!

I went through the exact same process and came up with the same solution, so nice to have running water at hand :)
