Part 2. Short video sailing on Port Phillip Bay

Postby percyverhance » Wed Oct 08, 2014 12:53 pm

Sharing another short clip from our recent week out on the bay.Had a couple of light wind days and had a crack at flying the spinnaker. It was about 40 years since I had anything to do with a spinnaker and It wasn't pretty getting it up and back down again but did log a 40km run with it up.

If everthing works the link below should connect.Cheers

Thanks Chaps.
Yes Rob it was shot with a gopro and edited with some basic software that is available free from gopro. Its a bit of fun to muck around with.
Incidently I was speaking to my mate that works in Port Headland earlier this week Rob and told him to look out for a boat that looks like mine that might be sailing past.Like a lot of people,i have been following your trip with great interest.Cheers.Dave

Hi Phillip. My camera is a Hero3+ Silver which I think may have just been superceeded. It can be remotely controlled via WiFi which is pretty handy. You just download the app to a smartphone or tablet/ipad.I have mates that have gopros mounted on remote control quadcopters and you can end up with some pretty unique footage. You can have a bit of fun with them.
