Furlers

I am of the belief that the only difference is bolt rope as opposed to hanked on, there is also the options of foam luff and UV protection but otherwise I believe sizing is similar
I'm having a new 135% Genoa made up which I am to believe is in between a no1 and a no2 so the sizing is different but once it is measured when the furler is on I will get the sizes off him and put them up for everyone

also if anyone is interested I saw these sails in my searches, I think they would probably fit but I've gone with a more expensive option

For my money and to support the Australian manufacturers I could not go past Almasts Reefit furler. They have looked at all the systems, are practical sailors and have produced what I would think of as the best furler on the market after years of experience. Check out their website. They are based in Tasmania and I have a reefit on my yacht and it is simply fantastic. While Furlex etc are good, this is probably a much better system and it is Aussie. Cheers

Update: Furlex 50s was fitted on Sunday by the rigger seeing as how easy this is and the fact the kit comes with everything I think I could probably have done it myself with someone else helping to lift up the mast
Shane from MacDiarmid Sails came down and measured up whilst we were on the Jetty and Sails should start being made this week :)

p.s for those interested the forstay length of Oberon was 10.9, I will also try to get the sail measurements off Shane but he did mention this is the 3rd Tophat main he has done in 12 months and all 3 have been different due to different rigs and boom positions etc

p.p.s Rigger was Mitchell Sails & Rigging, friendly great guys would use them again for my rigging needs
