Mark,
Didn't get anything on Anchorage Marine BUT>>>>
Mr Rudd is going to change the law, in that, if your overseas insurance company does not have an office in Australia
and you are an Australian Citizen and insuring an Australian boat, you will not be allowed to do it.
There were a few angry yachties at the boat show when we heard that straight from a insurance broker!!
Back to the problem of out of water surveys, seems you will full out an online form and the insurance company will
determine from that what sort of survey they need.
Bests case you do it with photos.
Or a shipwright does it in water.
And worse case, a full out of water survey by one of their 'approved' surveyors.
I think most people should be looking at the amount they are insured for, as you can insure for $50,000
but they will only pay out on MARKET VALUE. Which means you have paid a lot in preminiums for nothing!
Average cost of all Top Hats is around $10,000 today, and thats what they will be using plus the age of your Top Hat when you make that claim!
