That's usually where I sit! Nice shot, but no Top Hat that I kni wif is going out in that, intentionally. Even thou they can usually handle much worse......

I think I was out that day. A big, fast, heavy ferry ploughing through waves makes it look a lot worse than a light, slow boat floating over them. Provided the waves are not ridiculously steep and/or breaking the size is not a problem. (I have always liked big waves)

In my trip north in 2011 [hell was it that long ago!] I only had water enter the cockpit once.

Mind you, I was going across the sea which was influenced by a 9m southerly tide change against a stinking 25 knot SE wind.
