G'day Hatters,
My fathers boat had prop-speed of a 2 blade folding propeller when he bought it and it was awesome.
In my family we are mad boat scrubbers. Dads boat came out of the water on Saturday after 3.5 years only because of the renewal of insurance. All companies don't do 3rd party anymore if the boats on a swing mooring by the way!
But it was pretty clean and only rubbed through on the waterline.
TRUST ME HATTERS!! Norglass Top flight hard!!! you cant go wrong with it for the first year we were wiping it with a car sponge. Personally i only think the soft is good if you have a build up but crap otherwise.
Just some research we did, if you look at the tin of the prop-speed it contains Zylene and Silicon. So we did a experiment on a mooring minder beside my boat. We mixed zylene and silicon together until it was thin enough to brush and painted it on aluminum check-a-plate strips that we cut and dangled them in the water off the mooring minders for the first 4 months you could lightly rub it off no dramas. But unfortunately it got towed away and they took our bloody experiment!!, the next step is to make it stick to a spinning prop.
by the way when i got the Dawn before the reef grew i use to use a standed broom from the dingy i reconed it worked well as the handle didnt hit the hull because it tucks in.
Anyway, all horses for courses
Dawn Breaker
P.s if the grammar and spelling is crap in sitting on a bumpy bus
