Mattress topper

Mattress topper

I was reading another sailing forum recently and came across a suggestion to buy a mattress topper to make staying on board more comfortable.

As my v berth cushions were old, had lost their spring and very uncomfortable to sleep on, I thought it might be worth a try. I bought one off eBay for $98. I has transformed my boat. It is 7cm thick and amazingly comfortable. It is a 'Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress'.

There were various sizes, but I opted for the double (137cm x 190cm). I fits perfectly length ways. The width leave a slight gap near the door and a slight overlap near the front.

I have attached a pic and I can't recommend enough! (no I don't own the company :D )

I use self inflating air mattresses under my foam cushions and find they also make for more comfortable sleeping aboard.
