Happy St Paddy's Day!
Bring out the Leprechauns, the tophats and the shamrock and join us for a sailing parade in Pittwater from midday Sunday March 17th.
The plan is to create a Flotilla of vessels and parade around Scotland Island (at least it has a Celtic name!) in Pittwater. Horns, drums and other instruments and loud noise is encouraged and anyone wishing to do a silly dance can certainly take the lead! Then we will head to a nearby bay for lunch at 14h00 for a raft-up. Some vessels can anchor while others may chose to raft-up.
DETAILS:
Where: Pittwater - Joining point will weather/conditions dependant and will be posted closer to the time
Who: Tophats, yachts, dinghies, tenders, ribs, windsurfs, SUPs
When: Midday Sunday March 17th
Why: It's St Paddy's Day
Bring: Anything Green! Paraphenalia, bunting, flags, GUINNESS
NOTE: If you're the skipper you're responsible so if you're on the wheel, stay off the booze

See you there
Curly
THERE WILL BE A PRIZE AWAREDED FOR THE BEST DRESSED BOAT!!!
UPDATE Friday 15th
As boats will be joining the Parade from different parts of Pittwater, the Joining Point will be off Taylors Point (south of Clareville beach) at 12midday. Boats should be dressed and ready for the Parade and if u have a good stereo and some Irish music you'll get preferential treatment!!
The flotilla will depart from Taylors Point as soon as all boats have joined and head in a SW direction towards Church Pt and round the back of Scotland Island. We'll then head up the bay to The Basin (Coasters Retreat) for a few pints.
If you don't have a boat or a ride organised please let me know so I can arrange this. Equally, if you have a boat and need some leprechauns please also let me know so we can make sure everyone is along for the ride.
Bring a picnic lunch and something warm and waterproof (it may rain) and GREEN. Please also bring lots of pots of gold coz we could all use some
Raft-up will be at the Basin for 2pm if it's a southerly but stand-by on vhf ch 16 for update.
Power boats can launch from Bayview (just past Monavale) and there is plenty of trailor parking.
Am open to questions, suggestions on other activities.
