Sailing Broken Bay to Sydney for NYE CREW NEEDED HELP!!!!

Postby SeaLady » Fri Dec 28, 2012 7:32 pm

Hi fellow Top Hatters.

I have been let down or stood up or whatever the correct term for saying you will crew then pulling out with basically no notice.

SeaLady's refit is complete and she is beautiful.
All safety gear of course is on board.
Possibly a few extra.
3 EPIRBS
2 radios
Life Jackets,
V sheet
flares
etc etc etc etc

The intention is to sail from Parsely Bay to Athol Bay - near the Zoo on Sunday.
Weather permitting.

We will be towing an inflatable.

Find an anchoring spot, enjoy the view and the fireworks on NYE and then pick the best weather to sail back.

I do have guests arriving on NYE in the afternoon to stay overnight and there is 1 bunk available.
Or 2 at a stretch.

Anyone interested?

I would prefer someone with some sailing / boating experience so you are an asset not a liability.
I can do it solo but prefer to have someone with me for safety.

If you private message me then it gets sent to my email.

Or I will give it here anyway

Hi Dan,
No kite.

Just a furling headsail and a main.

Very easy.

More for safety than degree of difficulty.

Weather is not looking good.

For example the forecast today is for 1- 1.5 m waves and 4-5 metre waves are being measured by the wave bouys.

Also the wind is from the South SE.

So I may cancel the trip.

Waves have calmed down and John from here has offered his services.

Lucky as his Top Hat is moored beside mine and he lives between my house and Parsley Bay.

All good.

Thanks everyone and Happy New Year!!!
