hey all
Just my two cents worth.
The Monocell Gold Marine Varnish is very cheap - I did all washboards with it years back - with three coats and was doing it all again after 6 months - crap product. Internally probably very good.
Although now boatless ;( I ended up always using the International One Part paint. Looks great and not UV impacted like the varnishes and always looks clean - high gloss. (I think from memory it is called Brightsides / topsides?)
Lets face it sanding is best done once.
An older boat I had with Teak I used a very expensive marine varnish from Whitworths that was great but was still an annual sanding job.
