Mike

The Lake is fantastic once you are on it , Believe it or not getting out of some of the bays that face west is a real problem in a 15 knt plus n/w ,s/w basically anything with WEST in it !! . The only good thing about a westerly is that it does flatten the sea, If Huey is kind to us it should be a interesting and funny week- end I think ?

Shoot its not this week...

OK, Storm Petrel is still a possible provided there are suitable winds on the 2-4th.

G'Day all,
here is a sample of what you can do. I sailed last Monday and Tuesday, I started late Monday (lunchtime) and it was raining and windy SE 15 to 20kts. Tuesday was Light 5 to 10 knots NE then SE.
I know its a weekday but I saw only 4 yachts and even one of them didn't have sail up.
The total distance was a little over 20 miles.

Gday Bear,
A piano onboard Blue Moon, is permanent standard kit, however if I cant find a good upright to exchange for the Baby Grand now onboard I may have to unload the piano altogether  ....as I will need all storage space, as im trying to be self sufficient(as best I can) for 2 or 3 weeks as a bit of a trial.

I will need to hire a car on Tue 6th Sept for 24hrs(quick trip back home for appt'), are their any hire car places around Wangi, Arcadia Vale, Fishing Point (or at the other town on Nth side of Fishing Pt) ?, Sometimes local car yards hire cars??
I like Eraring Bay (have friends at Fishing Point)
cheers

This all sounds like so much fun, but I do not have a headsail, (yet) nor any crew.
And it is a bit far for me to do solo at this stage.

Does anyone have a spare berth that I can crash on and come and join you all?

Shaun,
Sounds like you have a plan to be self sufficient for 2 or 3 weeks?
I'd just take 14 or 21 undies, 14 or 21 T shirts. 14 or 21 tins of spam and 100l of water. Oh and a really big roll of dunny paper.

Greg.
PS. Went sailing today, sorry for those who had to work, saw a small seal between Wangi Pt and Coal Pt. in 10m of water. Excellent day.

Weather looks promising at present with a weakish (20 knot) southerly change expected Thursday evening. I only hope that for once the prediction doesn't change as the week progresses.

Cheers,
