I can't give you the whole answer, but I know my mast is 9.54m from deck to masthead (plus about 20cm for the wind indicator) I allow about 1m for deck to waterline - though really need to measure that at some point.
Long story short you can pass under the Brooklyn bridge
Getting under the bridge is possible, but beware of high tide. I must be underestimating my overall height as I scraped my radio antenna on the bridge on the way under on Monday. It was probably about 11, so right on high tide of 1.8m.
I'll put up the whole story of my latest voyage soon but thought a correction to my original post was required.
Alyosius, if all you scraped was your radio antenna then all good. : )
A recent savage storm here in Rockhampton dragged a moored boat under the main bridge, which is darn high thing, but low enough that the top of the mast hit. With storm conditions, the mast ended up breaking.
I go under the bridges at Brooklyn regularly. Always looks as if I am going to hit the mast (just as it does going under the Sydney Harbour Bridge). Even at high tide have never hit the antenna.
