Good to see you back on our Forum Di!
Was briefly watching a video the other day about a teenager who wanted to sail alone around the world, and noted that he actually chartered the boat that he used. Maybe that is an easier and quicker way to get on the water, and then you can keep the van.
Any offers folks?

I'm sad to report that last week Di had a stroke.

Di is now back in palliative care and has major communication problems.

But she is still posting on her blog site with great effort. You can post encouragement here...

Your dream boat "MICO" that you was thinking of buying this time last year is now on a mooring between Phillips Top Hat & mine on the Camden Haven River, bought by a local family a couple of months ago & sailed down from QLD, quite bizarre!, all the best,

First diagnosis in August 2013 they gave me 6 to 10 months now 22 months and I’m really not sure if I will make my birthday.
The pain killers make me dozy and sleepy and not much fun.
I have tried to be as fun as possible for as long as possible but time is coming to an end I think. It is just getting too hard.

I am getting weaker and less able, pain is increasing. Trying to plot an exit, or a retreat back to hospital.
I am sleeping most of the time, but finding it harder to cope with just me and drug-addled brain.
Some visitors are good and give me a lift, most are just an effort and I don't see now. even email is becoming unpalatable.
I will probably head back to the Wesley hospital. Losing my voice makes everything so hard.
Phone calls are almost impossible now. I am losing weight quickly now so hopefully the end won't be too long.

Dianne is now in Hospital in a Palliative Ward and may move to a Hospice this week.
