Hey Rob, sounds like ya getting soft. Surely you could have just stayed out there tacking to and fro on the same spot for a week until the weather got better and you could actually get somewhere? : )

That Southern Ocean is certainly awesome with what it can dish out. I am amazed at how much you have handled.

I don't even think about sailing in those conditions, probably lucky you have almost finished and can get back to a normal life [if you can]!

thanks Phillip, I'm stuck in Port Fairy with gales and sou' easters probably until Sunday. I hope to the. make a move I Apollo Bay some 80nm off, then wait for the next opportunity to head across to western port and home to Yaringa. It feels like I've had nout but sou'' easters since rounding Leeuwin. Getting close now but I can't forget I'm in the southern ocean with bass strait ahead of me so it's not peaches and cream.

I'm in much the same position Rob, going through the Narrows on Friday and then sheltering in the river etc until the weekend high winds drop.

The weather has not been kind!
