It would seen that the Northerly course is not the favoured side. He has lost a deal of easting. Hopefully he will get a lift from the small change of direction later today.
Now I am not there and only surmising, it is a long tiring trip and they must rest to remain alert.
I hope that he has chosen the right tack though at the present it may not look the best at all.
There is also a low approaching and it may catch him up.
