G'day,
Anyone know where you can buy engine anodes from?
Where did the fellas that had Arona's get their anodes from?
Greg, you mentioned about DIY making anodes in this thread  viewtopic.php?f=3&t=517 , Any further info on how to make them?, mine looked like it was about 9mm or 10mm wide diameter , only about the size of half a pea left of it now,
Thanks for any help.
cheers

Hi Shaun

Yeah ! I had to make mine ?

You can buy the anode in length, and all I did by memory was I drilled the anode out and tapped it so it screwed onto the plug . I think I had to put a threaded rod on the plug end so I could screw it on ? or was that on another engine ? :? I will go down to the garage and check what I did and get back to you

Cheers Bear

G'Day Shaun,
I bought the rod from " the House of Anchors and Anodes" in St Peters Sydney.
The originals have a metal insert in them that makes them more robust and resists the tendency to snap off.
Greg.

I just buy mine from Minards Yanmar in Newcastle. Cheap as chips.....but not much use if you don't have a Yanmar I guess.
