Insurance survey forms

G'Day everyone,
Well I've just about been through the insurance hoops and I think I've survived.

The basic intent talking to the surveyor (JR Marine) and the insurance broker (R & M Insurance) the basic intent is that they are trying to reduce their risk of craft sinking etc. That is only natural but it is VERY onerous on the boat owner. IF you've not done it before it can be a bit offputting so I have included the completed forms here for Felicite. THe main things they found was an old Sumlog sender, that was ground out and fibreglassed over. The bronze skin fittings were all ok despite some people saying that they will also be sumarily ground out and replaced. They had to be accounted for and any ones not being used would have been ground out to reduce the risk of sinking.
The rigging is 11 years old and in another post is the story regarding that episode.
The safety lines have to be replaced because they are plastic coated wire. Other than that it is not too bad.

Greg.
