I was qouted $560 for a 10m sock from the sailmaker ( who orders it in made up from Sydney) and I see them online for $381 ( rolly Tasker ) So what am I looking for? is one much the same as another? or is this guy into me.

Rob, check out Hood Sails in Brookvale. I don't know how much they charge for a sock, but my recent repair for the Blue UV cover on my #2 was really well priced. http://www.hoodaustralia.com.au/flash.cfm

I haven't affiliation with Hood, just got a good deal and good service.

Thanks Miker, its not that I cant find a good price its just that the price varies by hundreds of dollars from one to another so what should I be looking for? are there bad socks or are they pretty much all the same?

Good question Rob, I have no idea what is a good sock or a bad sock. I've no experience with them at all. What does come to mind however, is finding out how easy it is to use, and how good the materials are.

Might have to hang around a race day somewhere and ask the question of some who have them.
