help needed with rudder

Has anyone replaced the bearing in the top of the rudder tube on a MK2? It is missing, causing the rudder to move about. Does anyone know if it is a standard part. I assume it is really not a bearing, but probably a plastic (brass?) bush. Does anyone where to buy one and how to fit it. Any help will be much appreciated. Even if you just know the type of material it is made of and the dimensions, then I could get one made up.

There have been some earlier posts on rudder bearings. It would be worth searching back through the message board. I would expect the bearing to be bronze.
