Mk1 Mast Girder Bridge

Mk1 Mast Girder Bridge

Postby Buster » Mon Apr 11, 2022 4:36 pm

Hello all,

I am looking for a Mast Girder / Bridge for a Mk1 Top Hat.
The current one is corroded. So an Aluminium or Stainless would be preferred, but a Galvanised Steel one in good condition would be OK.

Help Please.

Buster,
I presume you have your mast out?
You cannot buy the girder as the manufacturer has moved onto other things and is not interested in Top Hats.
BUT, take it to an aluminium manufacturer and get him to duplicate it.
My SEAKA's was done in the late 1990s.
Get it anodised after being welded up.

Make sure he gets the angles correct as there are no right angles on the girder.
Also the curve of the deck is require. make a template for bow and stern sides before removal.

We will need to see photos of what you do please :D
Phillip.
