Managed to do several more small jobs on Windchaser. One was to fit the blue fabric covers on the outboard and the tiller. The old pillowcases are now retired and the home-made covers look much nicer. In the cabin, I have been suffering from heat through the windows.

A car windscreen shade and some decent velcro and I have temporary and detachable heat-keeper-outers. Well, at least some of the heat. I ran green fabric tape along the back of the shades to give a better foundation for the velcro. The first one I did I ran the tape over the edge to strengthen it but I don't think the edge needs it so just ran it as backing. With velcro, the first lot I bought was extra cheap and I found out why, it does not stick very well. My second lot was way better, but paid more for it.

Keep the heat out, some of the heat anyway.

Had a visitor on my boat. Too cute to throw over for the barra to eat it so left it alone.

Plenty more to do on the boat but every little step helps.

Hi Louis

Working on the van feels the same.
The list of jobs seems to be continually expanding!
At least it is in the garage and easy to get to when I want to work on it!!!

Hi Di

I really felt I was making progress with Windchaser once I got the v-berth back together and all the sanding dust out of the cooker recess and gas cooker so that I could make a cup-a-tea and stay overnight. I am sure you will get to a point with your van that you feel you have made good progress.

cheers

Louis

Looks Great, I always feel good after making some progress on modifications or repairs on Oberon (cant wait to get a clear day to put new sails and Boom Cover on)
