My boom bag with rings for lazy jacks is wearing out. Anyone know a economical place to buy a replacement?

Here's Windchaser looking nice, but that boom bag could do with replacing. Not that you can see from this distance : )

I got mine a few years ago from Hood Sails in Brookvale, NSW. So far, it's holding up well and works as it should. It was also only about $100 more than a standard sail cover. It included full battens and loops for tying on the lazy jacks etc.

If you call them, they will be able to email you what measurements they need to make one and ship it up to you.

. . . 2 years after I started this thread:

For two years I have been very careful with my boom bag. It was falling apart. Wondered where to get a replacement. Got to the point where I could no longer use it at all.

After looking very carefully at the bag with the rotting stitching, the rotted zip material, the tear, I decided it was not so bad after all. The actual fabric seemed good. Took it in to a local canvas repair shop Swains Canvas Rockhampton. They replaced the zip and restitched the whole thing, reinforced where I had roughly sewn up the tear.

Cost me $70. Bargain. I'm very happy with it.
