Engine mounts/Fuel Line

Just replaced all engine mounts on Sole Mini 2. Ended up being a lot less stress than I thought it would. Much happier engine, boat and owner. Removed the leaking gate valve and replaced with ....nothing. Just joined the two ends together with a double female stainless tube. Where the gate valve was placed made it impossible to turn off in case of fire so pointless. Now to fix the manual bilge layout.

Maybe the valve was there to aid filter change and minimize air bleeding.

More than likely. Nothing a little plug couldn't do. And the leaking has been stopped for $2.90 rather than a new ball valve at considerably more.
