Road transport

Hi all

Has anyone got a rough idea as to costs for shipping a top hat via truck from say sydney harbour to central coast?

Also; has anyone set up a cradle of sorts for securing a TH whilst on the dry long-term i.e. backyard... Would be most interested in learning what worked and didnt

Lost all motivation in selling my mk3 (just dont want to give her up) and figure it would make a nice addition to our 1,000sqm backyard for the next few years, a conversation starter perhaps...

Gday Dan,
I feel for you and anyone trying to sell a boat at the moment.
If you could find a very low cost mooring in pittwater you could let a broker handle the sale....??

Sorry dont know anything about transporting by road, but I imagine it would be cheaper from the Hawkesbury somewhere
good luck with it all
cheers

Why not sail her up and truck her from the Central Coast or as Shaun suggests leave her in Pittwater and put her on Lamoore or David Bray's books. How is the new boat going?

Cheers,
Mark

I used Porta Slip 4 years ago to Transport "Egret 11 " from Middle Harbour to Lake Macquarie and it cost about $700 or less I think ?
A basic cradle is simple! You could use a couple of sleepers and some jacking screws from scaffolding or 6x2 as arms etc .

Cheers Bear

Hi All,

Just finally moved my boat Caprice form Sydney to Huskissson with Ken Amy from Carinbah 02 9524 5877.
He has various trailers and crane setups to move boats. Very efficient and reliable.
Also Port a slip 02 97927368 and Rob Honey boat transport 0416 214 646 in Sydney are good alternatives.
