Solar Panel Brackets/Stands

Solar Panel Brackets/Stands

Postby Rod » Wed Aug 08, 2012 3:33 pm

I am wanting to mount several solar panels on my TH without putting them on the cabin top as they will get in the way of the ropes etc and I can't afford thousands for a stainless steel Xmas tree above the cockpit. I would like to see any photos of peoples brackets/stands/poles/whatever used to hold several solar panels.

Rod,

How many panels?

I'm planning on mounting a 100w panel on the stern of SEAKA at 1500mm? from the deck.

I'll get some ss tube bent and with a little bit of welding will attach the frame to my pushpit with ss handrail fiitings. This will mean that I can remove it if necessary.

I have the details at home unfortunatly. Costs around 400-500 $ max.

this one is made from a fibreglass sheet with holes to ventilate and nylon locking clamps to fit to SS rail
