stuffing box hose

stuffing box hose

Postby Sanfelice » Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:27 am

Hi
I am needing to replace my stuffing box hose. My question is, do I need to drop the rudder to do so or can I slide the shaft out just enough to be able to slide the hose on?

Thanks

How about a photo so we know exactly which one you have.

HI Phillip

I actually decided to take the rudder off so I've dug a hole in the mud to get the 900.

Great idea. Check the 8mm dia bolts to the rudder shoe while you have it off.
